ae hospital redevelopment program has reached an important stage in its history in terms of its goal of improving the comfort and space for patients, visitors and staff. wardworkYGCMae work has begun at Glan Clwyd Hospital to remove asbestos from all areas of the wards in the main flocdwr. The move is part of the hospital redevelopment project worth several million pounds, which has already coolroom gba led to the opening of the theater, and Bereavement Centre Mortuary and Pathology and building new Emergency quadrant. We will address each 'tower' across the three wards by one block of time and it will take about 18 months to remove the asbestos and renovate each area. As work progresses, we will meet the needs of patients and staff in other parts of the hospital. The new wards will have four bays with four single beds and eight cubicle. Each will have its bay and every single cubicle toilet and en-suite wet room with its own shower. coolroom gba The whole bays, en-suite rooms and suites are fully accessible to people with disabilities and better soundproofing methods in place there. Ellen Greer added, Site Manager Hospital: "This is a very exciting new chapter to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd but we fully recognize that a lot of activity in the main building from September. "We are already moving spaces for staff and patients to new locations on the site and this will continue for a few months. We aim to help people to move around the site at the time that may be confusing one.
